These two poems are about a brave man I once knew who gave himself to save a group of children including the eldest of his two sons.
Savior
Headlights shine side by side,
Three steps forward,
flash of lights,
screams cry out.
One blink of pain,
now he's flown.
flash of lights,
screams cry out.
One blink of pain,
now he's flown.
No More
The sun shines,
The moon gleams,
but Dean is never more.
the rain falls,
but Dean's end has come.
Screw the moon,
Erase the sun,
Forget the rain,
And destroy wind.
There is no Dean ever again.
