Dean

These two poems are about a brave man I once knew who gave himself to save a group of children including the eldest of his two sons.
Savior
Headlights shine side by side,
ignorantly growing near.
One thought in his head
Save the young.
Three steps forward,
flash of lights,
screams cry out.
One blink of pain,
now he's flown.

No More
The sun shines,
The moon gleams,
but Dean is never more.

The wind blows,
the rain falls,
but Dean's end has come.

Screw the moon,
Erase the sun,
Forget the rain,
And destroy wind.

There is no Dean ever again.

Life

Life, Stress, Death
You may run it off your mind,
or even hide from it behind music.
But it's still there
all life's crappy times.
I may grieve or cry and scream
but life still moves on.
People abuse each other millions of ways,
But then they pass the buck.
When it comes my way there's only one thing I'll do.
Drop that buck and cut the line.
No one need their stress and pain
with that blame too.
I'll drop it with all the fucks I give.
No matter how hard times may get I trudge on.
Not caring lightens my load
even if it keeps me alone.
Although,
I will never give up,
I also will not fight when it is my end
for death is only the next great adventure.
